Full text of the summer issue of The Ochsner Journal is now available at the Journal website and at PubMed Central. Even though the summer issue was only recently posted on June 15, 2015, several articles have already generated a significant amount of interest, as demonstrated by their ranking in the top 100 articles accessed at the Journal website.
Leading the way is the article “Patients’ Perspectives of Surgical Safety: Do They Feel Safe?” by a team of researchers at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. Dr. Eboni Price-Haywood’s “Clinical Comparative Effectiveness Research Through the Lens of Healthcare Decisionmakers” has also been accessed a number of times and was featured in US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Effective Healthcare Program weekly article alert.
Other summer issue articles that made the top 100 list are “Stellate Ganglion Block for the Treatment of Hot Flashes in Patients with Breast Cancer: A Literature Review,” “The Dilemma of Treating a Doctor-Patient: A Wrestle of Heart Over Mind?” “Bioethics in Practice: The Ethics of Opiate Use and Misuse from a Hospitalist’s Perspective,” and “Effective Management of Trigeminal Neuralgia by Neurostimulation.”
