Take a Look at Ochsner Journal’s New Website!

We are thrilled to announce that Ochsner Journal has a new online presence: a dynamic and interactive platform where readers can engage in enhanced ways with the Journal’s excellent peer-reviewed content.

The summer 2018 issue and three published-ahead-of-print articles debut online with the site launch. Every article has a clean, modern, easy-to-read full-text view, as well as separate tabs for solely viewing the figures and tables, the references, or the article metrics. Article PDFs are available for online viewing or download, and multiple article sharing options and citation tools are accessible via one click.

The site’s design flexibility and graphics capabilities allow for frequent updates about Journal content, Ochsner Academic Division news, and continuing medical education events.

Intuitive and streamlined site navigation provides easy access to the full archive dating back to 1999, information about Ochsner Journal and the editorial board, instructions for authors and reviewers, the upcoming year’s editorial calendar, and more.

The new site is a vastly improved showcase for Ochsner Journal, a pioneer in nonpredatory, open-access publishing. Since its inception, the Journal has not charged authors any fees for publication AND makes the full text of every article completely available online and in print. Such a model is widely known in scholarly publishing as the “platinum model” of open-access publishing.

With its open-access contributions to the medical-scientific literature and knowledge base, the Ochsner Journal fully supports the Ochsner Health System mission to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate.
